"Oh Foreigners! What will we do now? Hahah."

As mentioned, Chris likes to stop and read the menus or signs in front of the various izakayas, some of which need reservations. Always on the lookout for an interesting place, he saw one on the way back from the Station area one night and we walked in so Chris could enquire. Well a rowdy group of Japanese customers, obviously three sake sheets to the wind, commented to each other when we walked in, and laughed. Chris politely said something to them. Then they stopped laughing. He continued to talk to the proprietor. Then we walked out.

"What was that about?" I asked.

"Oh, when they saw us, the customers at the table said "Oh Foreigners! What will we do now? Hahah." Then I told them I speak Japanese. I wasn't rude, I just said I could speak Japanese. The owner said they only take reservations and they are booked months in advance."

Pretty good one Christopher!
