Ko-Hi-Kan Coffee!
Throughout the entire first full day, Chris kept referring to the coffee he wanted me to have. It's at a place called Ko-Hi-Kan, right outside Kyoto station. "It's kind of expensive (600 yen for one pot) but it was so worth it." He said that the coffee was made with a special charcoal roast. Well later we saw the pots brewing and realized that this must have referred to the brewing process and not the roasting. When they brought the coffee in glass carafes, along with some pure cream (not half and half) I had to agree with Chris, this special coffee was indeed some of the best I'd ever had! The chinaware they serve it in also helps to add that special ambience to it.
YUM, I think we will be back!

Looks delicious! Always trust the locals :)
